Mortal Body

This piece is made of REAL HUMAN VERTEBRAE, eternally entombed in copper, dripping with blood red Garnet.

With the process of electroforming, the bone is sealed with a protective coating and layered with conductive paint. It is then added to a "bath" made of copper sulfate and sulfuric acid. Electricity is added to pull copper from anodes and deposit onto the conductive subject. After 24+ hours of building copper, it moves on to the patina and polish process to become the finished piece you see.
